The first real snowstorm...

Sometimes it is obvious that I am just not the best mom. Maybe it isn't that I'm a bad mom, just a flexible mom. One who believes that the experience out weighs the possibility of getting sick. Jade wanted to play in the snow. We hadn't had breakfast yet, no baths and we were obviously still in our pj's. Jade just wanted to run to the mailbox and back again. She put on her ballet slippers- so she wasn't barefoot. I let her run to the mailbox and back again. She was cold and wet, but extremely happy.

Ivy had no interest in getting her ballet slippers wet. She was happy to just watch Jade.

These unexpected moments that defy logic can create great memories of actually getting to do something crazy that you never thought you'd get to do! Ice cream for breakfast was one of our guilty indulgences... but not too often!
The photos caught the experience!

Oh I'm glad to see that somewhere in this world it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. I'm starting to think we might never get to drink hot chocolate and put a fire in the fire place this year. When I dont need to put sun block on Parker to go outside I'll be glad!
