Sweet Girls and Dad on Mother's Day

I am one lucky mom. Jade came in, very excited because she had slept in her own bed ALL NIGHT. I was thrilled about that as well, although Ivy didn't make it in her bed all night. Once Jade was done with that excitement, she moved on to Mother's Day. It was decided that I had to stay in bed until she made breakfast for me. Which really meant, Scott had to get up and go make breakfast. Jade had seen something in a magazine about eggs on top of a pancake. So that is what she wanted to do. Unfortunately, we were out of eggs. I have to say, my yummy pink heart pancakes were much more fun than eggs on a pancake.
This week, the girls worked on my gift with Miss Kim. It was the best Mother's Day gift I have ever received. The girls made me a scrapbook of them. It even has extra pages for us to fill in later. They were so proud of their work and couldn't wait to give it to me. On Saturday, Jade kept giving me little hints. Once I opened it, she pointed out that her hints never said exactly what it was. I am so proud of what sweet little girls I have. They truly are the joys of our lives. I can't imagine ever spending a day, without telling them how much I love and adore them.

Tonight, Ivy said to me, "Jade's my sister. She's my best friend." Then she turned to Jade and said, "you my best friend, Jade," and gave her a big hug. I pray that they will always be best friends and that the teasing will one day become working together and being one another's "B-F-F".
I also have to throw out there, how lucky I am to have a husband who pays attention to the rare times I point out a toy that I would like. For my birthday he got me a guitar. For Mother's Day, he got me Wii Fit. Hopefully I will be better about the Wii Fit than I have been about taking my guitar lessons.

What adorable pink heart pancakes! With church at 9 (we have to leave at 8:30am because it's all the way in Crestwood) I didn't get so lucky!

And guitar?! I've been telling Josh now for the past year that I'd love to learn to play the guitar. Maybe I'll get one for Christmas and we can encourage each other on!

Loved seeing the picture of "your old Kentucky home". Great memories it brought back. Kentucky misses you!
