Four kids floating on their backs

There are a few things that a child must do as they are learning how to be safe in the water. The first thing they have to be able to do is float on their backs. As you can tell, for Ivy, it's easy. "Floties" help her out. Jade's working on her back stroke. We've been practicing straighter arms and kicking. I'm pretty pleased with how well she is doing. Then again, with my little natural athlete, it's not much of a surprise. Mom also took pictures of Kieran and Asher working on their back float. It sure makes a difference when kids learn how to roll over on their backs to breath. It allows the adults to sit on the outside of the pool and watch, rather than be in the middle of the pool being used as a resting pole.
